Natural wallcovering — paperweave

Cellulose paper yarn, cut into thin strips, twisted and woven into a surface that sits closer to textile than to print. The structure gives paperweave more color consistency than grasscloth — the dye takes evenly across the paper yarn rather than varying fiber to fiber — while still reading as a handmade, material surface on the wall.

Where grasscloth has visible knots and irregular fiber, paperweave is finer and more uniform. The texture is present but quieter — it adds depth to a wall without competing with furniture, art, or light. Strong natural light pulls shadow across the weave and shifts how the surface reads through the day.
